Kirk Sullens is a skilled blacksmith and metal artist with over 30 years of experience, renowned for his intricate wildlife-themed metal sculptures. His work is prominently featured in Bass Pro Shops locations across the United States and Canada, where his artistry brings nature-inspired scenes to life in iron and steel. Based near Orlando, Florida, Kirk draws inspiration from the beauty of the natural world, transforming raw metal into detailed and expressive works of art.

Beyond his craftsmanship, Kirk is also passionate about preserving the art of blacksmithing. He offers classes for all skill levels, teaching traditional and modern forging techniques to aspiring blacksmiths and bladesmiths. Friday, May 23: Class 8 a.m-5 p.m. $150.00 Class size is limited (first come first serve)

  • Kirk will teach us how to craft his famous octopus. 

  • Intermediate level, not for beginners or someone new to forging

  • Required tools: Hammer and tongs for ½” square bar (bolt tongs).

  • Lunch break: Enjoy a meal on your own before we resume.

 

Saturday, May 24: Conference 9-5 p.m.  $50.00 

·         Kirk will demonstrate 3D art with a more intricate octopus.

·         Toolbox Raffle (sign up to make one of the tools for the toolbox)

·         Auction: Bring an item to donate and help support the event

Sunday, May 25: Class 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m$75 Class size is limited to 10.
